There are three Certification Standards that should be
considered the basic requirements of a true marine audio
system:
• CFR 46 for watertightness
• ASTM D4329 for UV stability
• ASTM B117 for salt/fog resistance

– withstands a 65 gpm stream of water from a 1"
diameter hose at 10' for 5 minutes
