IMPORTANT

You cannot use the Sort function with thin paper (17 to 20-lb bond (64 to 79 g/m
transparencies, Special Paper 1, or Special Paper 2.

NOTE
•
The maximum number of sets that can be specified at one time is 20. If you enter a
number greater than 20, the number is automatically changed to 20 when you press
(Start).

The maximum number of copies that can be delivered to each of the bins is as follows:
- LTR, LTRR: 50 sheets (20 to 28-lb bond (80 to 104.7 g/m
25 sheets (60-lb cover or 90-lb index to 110-lb index (157 to 209 g/m
- 11" x 17", LGL: 25 sheets (20 to 28-lb bond (80 to 104.7 g/m
15 sheets (60-lb cover or 90-lb index to 110-lb index (157 to 209 g/m

Once the output exceeds the capacity of the bins, copying will temporarily stop and will
only resume after all the output copies are removed from the bins.
•
Sorting may be interrupted if the copy exposure on the front and rear sides of two-sided
copies is markedly different. If the <Stopped due to incorrect loading. Remove paper
from the sorter.> message is displayed, remove all the output copies from the bins.
Group Function
The Group function automatically outputs copies into sets sorted by page number.
All copies of the same original page are grouped together and output into the bins
in the manner shown in the illustration below.

procedure for specifying the Group function.
