Integrating other devices

Measure the distance between the projector and the peripheral device you want to connect.
l
Make sure each cable is long enough, has plenty of slack and can be placed safely in your
room without presenting a tripping hazard.
Do not disconnect cables from the ECP to connect peripherals because you could
l
disconnect controls for your interactive whiteboard or host computer.
Don't connect SMART Board Audio (SBA-L) USB speakers to the RCA connector pod.
l
Connect these speakers to the projector connection panel using a dual-channel (left and
right) RCA plug to 3.5 mm cable (not included).
The composite video connector and associated dual channel audio inputs on the RCA
l
connector pod are for input only. These RCA jacks don't provide an output signal.

To connect a laptop computer
1. Connect the USB cable included in the laptop computer harness to a USB receptacle on the
laptop computer.
2. Connect the VGA cable from the laptop computer harness to a VGA connector on the laptop
computer.
3. Press the Input button on the ECP or remote control to switch input sources to the peripheral
device.

To connect a DVD/Blu-ray player or similar device
1. If you have speakers installed, turn the volume dial on the ECP all the way down to prevent
buzzing or sparking.
2. Connect your peripheral device's input cables to the receptacles on the RCA connector pod.
3. Press the Input button on the ECP or remote control to switch input sources to the peripheral
device.
4. Restore the volume on the ECP's volume dial.
