    Failure to follow the installation instructions shipped with your SMART product could result in personal injury and damage to the product. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the SMART product to rain or moisture.
  • Page 4 Do not place the unit in hot locations, such as near heating equipment. Doing so could cause a malfunction and shorten the life of the projector. Avoid setting up and using the SMART product in an area with excessive levels of dust, humidity and smoke.
  • Page 5 Do not rest the interactive whiteboard on its side or on the top of the frame. You must connect the USB cable that came with your SMART Board interactive whiteboard to a computer that has a USB compliant interface and that bears the USB logo. In addition, the USB source computer must be compliant with CSA/UL/EN 60950 and bear the CE mark and CSA and/or UL Mark(s) for CSA/UL 60950.
  • Page 6 Make sure an electrical socket is near your SMART product and remains easily accessible during use. Using your SMART product near a TV or radio could cause interference to the images or sound. If this happens, move the TV or radio away from the projector.

Bright light sources can cause distracting shadows on your interactive whiteboard and can reduce the contrast of the projected image.

    Thoroughly clean the area around the projector, and discard any edible items placed in that area because they could be contaminated. Call your authorized SMART reseller (smarttech.com/wheretobuy) for instructions. Do not attempt to replace the lamp. Replacing the lamp in a wall-mounted projector can result in a fall or injury. Use caution when climbing a ladder, and consider removing the projector from the wall-mounting bracket to replace the lamp.
  • Page 44 Wear protective eyewear while changing the lamp. Failure to do so can cause injuries including loss of eyesight if the lamp shatters or bursts.
