Prerequisites

For streaming between a Legend IP and a SymNet to work without SymSecure or SymNav, there are a few
prerequisites:
Both devices must be on a network;
The Legend IP must be running firmware version 3.1 or higher, and;
The SymNet must be running the following:
Software version 1.45h;
Boot code version 1.01, and;
MPEG SW version 1.09.

Firewall configuration

If one or more firewalls exist between the Legend IP and SymNet, the following connections must be allowed:
Port 80/TCP must be open for inbound connections from the managing computer during the initial
configuration;
Port 1024/TCP must be open for connections from the Legend IP to the SymNet;
Port 8090/UDP must be open for sessions from the Legend IP to the SymNet, and;
Port 8092/TCP must be open for connections.

SymNet configuration

To configure the SymNet, do the following:
1. Log on to the SymNet with your web browser.
2. Access the Network Settings page (Figure 80 on page 125) to make sure the SymNet listen port is set
to 1024. If you change this, the device will prompt for a reboot. Wait for the reboot to complete before
continuing on to the next step.
