Panel does not power up. Touchpads don't display or respond.
No incoming AC voltage at panel terminals 1 and 2.
Touchpad display indicates System Low Battery or voice sounds "System low battery."
Testing Cellular Backup Communication
Perform this test to check the cellular communication between the panel and the central monitor-
To test Cellular Communication:
Contact the central monitoring station to inform them that you are testing the system.
Install and activate the SuperBus 2000 Cellular Backup Module.
Verify or change the following CS PHONE 1 panel option settings.
Disconnect the phone line by unplugging the Db-8 cord from the RL-31X Jack.
Initiate a phone test (8 + System Master Code + 2).
The phone test attempt should fail via the phone line within 5 minutes. The panel will emit a
long low tone (and speak "phone failure 1" if so equipped).
Wait for the phone test to succeed via the cell backup. The panel should emit a short high
tone (and speak "phone test ok" if so equipped).
Verify the CS report.
If success does not occur, verify that the signal strength (RSSI) shown on the Cellular
Backup Module is acceptable and repeat steps 5-8.
10. Restore previous CS PHONE 1 settings if needed.

Verify that the panel transformer is plugged into an unswitched outlet.
Check the AC circuit breaker to be sure the circuit is live.
Check that the backup battery is installed correctly and the AC power transformer is plugged in.
Check for proper panel and transformer wiring.
Measure the incoming AC voltage at panel terminals 1 and 2. It should read about 24 VAC.
Unplug the AC power transformer and disconnect the wires from the transformer and the panel.
Check transformer to panel wire for short or open circuits.
Plug in the transformer and check for 24 VAC at the transformer unconnected terminals. If zero
(0) volts, replace the transformer.
