,, Smocking
With the stitch length at °°4"" , sew
straight stitching lines 3/8"" apart across
the area to be smocked.
Knot the threads along one edge. Pull
the bobbin threads and distribute the
gathers evenly. Secure the threads at
the other end. Sew the decorative stitch
between the gathering stitches.
Pull out the gathering stitches.
NOTE: Loosen the top thread tension
to make gathering easier.

ptquez d'abord des lignes espac#es de
3!8" sur la parne it garnir. Nouez ies fils
d' un cor_ et, de l' autre, nrez sur les fils
d'aiguilte pour faire des fronces
r@uli_res. Nouez ies fits+ Piquez les
smocks entre les lignes, puts entevez les
ills it froncer.
REMARQUE: Diminuez IN tension du
fil de dessus pour ptquer
tes lignes de frongage.
* Puntada de Avispero (Colmena)
Con el largo de ta puntada en "4"+ cosa
iineas de puntadas rectas, separadas unas
de otras pot un i cm, en toda el firea que
va a trabajarse. Anude los hilos en uno de
los hordes, Tire los hi|os de la bobina y
distribuya el recogido en forma pareja.
Asegure los hilos en la otra orilla. Cosa
puntadas decorattvas sobre el
reeogido.
Quite ias puntadas de recog+do.
NOTA: Afloje la tensi6n del hilo
superior para que et recogido
se haga mas f_cil.
