EMORY
One of the uses for printer memory is for temporarily storing
a print job while it is being processed. The more memory
installed in the printer, the more efficiently it can process one
or more print jobs.
Your SuperScript 1800 printer comes with 12MB of memory,
and can be upgraded to 132MB using 60ns, or faster, 72-pin
EDO DRAM SIMMs.
The printer has a Controller Board with two SIMM slots for
memory. The SIMM slots can be upgraded with 8MB, 16MB,
32MB, and 64MB SIMMs. If both slots are going to contain
SIMMs, they must be of the same size.
The 12MB of memory that comes with your printer is in the
form of 4MB built into the controller board and 8MB installed
in the SIMM slots.
