Chapter 8. System Settings and MIDI Applications
Explanation
When using RPS during pattern playback,
patterns and phrases may not play back in
precise alignment, depending on the timing
at which you press the D-FIELD. On the D2
you can specify the playback timing of the
phrase, so it will play back in precise syn-
chronization with the pattern.
* Except when this parameter is set to
"OFF," pressing on the D-FIELD slightly
before the actual desired timing will help
you synchronize the phrase to the pattern.
When the D-FIELD function is VINYL (TTE
or SR1), this setting specifies whether the pat-
tern will return to the beginning when you
release your finger.
When the D-FIELD function is VINYL (TTE),
this setting specifies whether the BPM will
change according to the speed at which you
move your finger in a circle.
When the D-FIELD function is VINYL (TTE
or MAN), this setting specifies whether the
pitch will change according to the speed at
which you move your finger in a circle.
When the D-FIELD function is VINYL (TTE
or MAN) or SD ROLL, this setting specifies
whether the volume will change according to
the size of the circle in which you move your
finger.
Values
OFF:
The phrase will play back immedi-
ately, at the timing at which you
pressed D-FIELD.
16, 8, 4:
The pattern will be divided into se-
lected note units, and when you
press the D-FIELD, the phrase will
begin playing at the beginning of
the next note unit.
MES:
The pattern will be divided into
one-measure units, and when you
press the D-FIELD, the phrase will
begin playing at the beginning of
the next measure.
* If the pattern is stopped, the phrase
will play back immediately,
regardless of the setting that is
selected in the above procedure.
