Menu Bar

The Menu Bar consists of six standard menus—File, View, Policy, Rules, Tools and Help.

Description
Begins the process to create a new policy. Refer to
on page 37.
Opens an existing policy file.
Opens an existing policy file from a switch. Refer to

Opens an existing policy file from a local file. Refer to

Saves changes to an existing policy in the location (switch or local) in which
it was opened.
Saves a new policy or saves changes to an existing policy to a different
location. Refer to "Creating a New Policy" on page

Saves locally.
Imports all rules from one policy into the current policy. Refer to

Exports all rules from the current policy to populate a new policy or to
replace the existing rules in another policy. Refer to

Closes the EPM.
Shows and hides certain panels in the window. When one or more is hidden,
the shown panels expand to fill the window.
Shows and hides the Status Panel.
Shows and hides the Rule Properties Panel.
Shows and hides the Tool Bar.
Includes functions to create, modify and check a policy.
Begins the process to create a new policy. Refer to

Searches the current policy for specific rules. Refer to

Validates and checks a new or modified policy. Refer to

Refreshes the currently loaded policy when it is activated on a switch after it
has been modified. Refer to

Activates a policy stored on the switch, allowing control of the active VLANs
and active ports of the current policy. Refer to

Recalculates the rule ranks when ACL and/or CLEAR-Flow rules have been
added to or deleted from the policy. Refer to
