Erase function can be used to eliminate shadow lines around the edges and
the centre part of copies as shown in the illustrations, which are caused
when such originals as thick paper, books or bound documents are used.
3 patterns of erase function, EDGE ERASE, CENTRE ERASE and
EDGE+CENTRE ERASE can be selected.

The standard erase width is 10 mm (1/2"), but can be changed from 0 mm
to 20 mm in 1 mm increments (from 0" to 1" in 1/8" increments).
