The firmware controls the operation of Sign-on ID and Transmission bursts in the following
format:

Where:
the first 8 digits are the firmware part number (xx represents the Swipe Reader series),
L is the alpha revision,
nn is the number sub-revision.
<CR> is 0x0D.
