At the scanner
Set the scanning compensation parameters in the EEPROM
l
(Function code 55 in Subsection 4.3.1).
Clean the copyboard screen around the two black HP marks.
l
Clean the CIS units.
l
Check the CIS unit(s).
l
At the printer
Check the following components:
l
- Thermal recording head
- Main PCB
At the scanner
Check the scanning contrast setting (Function code 07 in
l
Subsection 4.3.2).
Set the scanning compensation parameters in the EEPROM
l
(Function code 55 in Subsection 4.3.1).
Clean the copyboard screen around the two black HP marks.
l
At the printer
Check the following components:
l
- Compression springs under the thermal recording head
At the scanner
Check the following components:
l
- WB motor
- Pipe holders and their gears and springs
At the printer
Check that recording paper is loaded correctly.
l
Check the printer motor.
l
Clean the platen with alcohol.
l
At the scanner
Adjust the gap between the CIS frame and the copyboard
l
screen using positioning jigs. (Refer to Subsection 3.1.2, [ 1
], Reassembly notes.)
At the scanner
Remove the three CIS units from the CIS frame, then
l
reinstall them while pressing each of those units and CIS
frame to each other in order to align those units with each
other. (Refer to Subsection 3.1.2, [ 1 ], Reassembly notes.)
