Device Management Methods

The DGS-3100 series and DGS-3100-24TG provide different methods for managing the device including:
Web Based Management Interface
SNMP-Based Management
Command Line Console
Web Based Management Interface
Once the device is installed, network mangers can configure the switch, monitor the LED panel, and display statistics
graphically via a web browser, including:
Netscape Navigator (version 7.0 and higher)
Microsoft® Internet Explorer (version 5.0).
Mozilla Firefox (version 2.0)
SNMP-Based Management
The system also supports SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, and SNMPv3. The SNMP agent decodes the incoming SNMP messages,
and replies to requests with MIB objects stored in the database. The SNMP agent updates the MIB objects to generate
statistics and counters.
Command Line Console
The device also supports device configuration using the Command Line Interface. A terminal is connected to device via the
serial console port.
