What it does
Touch the status button, located in the
top, right of the screen, to display the
current status of the unit. This button
changes color when there is a change in
status (for example, if there is a paper
jam).
Each function has multiple screens of
information. The screens are divided into
"tabs": for example, Basic Settings,
Details. Touch the tab name to display
the information. The names of the tabs
appear in bold italic in the manual.
A list of jobs that have been started, but
haven't been completed.
A list of the last five jobs.
A prompt when the unit is in the process
of completing a task. You can either wait
until the current task finishes or start your
next task.
If security controls are turned
are prompted to login with a valid user
name and password before starting any
task (see the Security settings in
"Administrator Setup" on page 139).
Some buttons are inactive on certain
screens (for example, secondary duplex
options are not active when printing in
simplex mode). When a button is "grayed-
out" it cannot be selected under the
current configuration. To make it "active"
change the related settings.
