Tips for Loading the Scanner

The ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) can take up to 50 sheets of
A3 paper or 100 sheets of A4 paper (weight of 60 – 105 g/m
Make sure that documents have no staples, clips, or ragged edges.
The scanner's glass can take paper sizes up to 11 x 17" (279 x
432 mm) and the document cover can be left open to scan books.
Use the glass rather than the ADF for scanning documents that:
• have a smooth surface (e.g., photo, coated, or glossy paper)
• are folded, creased, curled, or otherwise deformed
• are not rectangular
• have an uneven surface (e.g., have labels attached to them)
• are less than 4 inches (100 mm) in width or less than 7 inches
(180 mm) in length as they may cause feed errors or skew in the
ADF.
