Resolution

Tells the scanner how much pixel information to include in the digital
file by specifying the dots per inch (dpi). Use the appropriate setting
to get the desired combination of clarity and files size. The more dots
per inch, the higher the resolution of the scanned document and the
bigger the file size. For more information, see "Resolution" on
page 108. Touch the Resolution button to display the options:
Standard, Fine, or Photo. Touch the desired setting, then touch OK.

Sides

Use the Sides option to specify whether your original document that
will be scanned is single-sided or double-sided. And, if double-sided,
to specify the orientation of the pages. For more information, see
"Sides" on page 116. Toggle through the options by touching the "
button.

Lighter/Darker

Adjust the lightness or darkness of your fax (for more information,
see "Lighter / Darker" on page 112):
• To make the fax lighter than the original (e.g., use for dark text),
decrease the setting to a number closer to -5. TOUCH # to reduce
the number to the desired setting.
• To make the fax darker than the original (e.g., use for light text),
increase the setting to a number closer to +5. Touch $ to increase
the number to the desired setting.
