Wheel rim runout
Support the motorcycle securely and raise the front
wheel off the ground using a safety stand or a hoist.
Remove the brake hose clamp bolt.
Remove the monting bolts and brake caliper.
Loosen the axle nut (U-nut).
Loosen the oval screw and pull the speedometer cable
out of the speedometer gear box.
Remove the axle nut, front axle the front wheel and R.
side collar.
Don't operate the brake lever after removing the
front wheel.
Place the axle in V-block and measure the runout.
Actual runout is 1/2 the total indicator reading.
SERVICE LIMIT : 2.0mm
Check the rim runout by placing the wheel in a turning
stand.
Spin the wheel slowly and read the runout using a dial
indicator.
Actual runout is 1/2 the total indicator reading.
SERVICE LIMIT : RADIAL : 2.0mm
SERVICE LIMIT : AXIAL : 2.0mm
