8. Configure the RMC for operation (see the next section, "Configuring
the Remote Management Card").
If you do not download new firmware, you may receive a
message on your front panel, and the RMC may not operate properly. See
the Autoloader User Manual for more information on partial availability.

Configuring the Remote Management Card

A category 5 Ethernet cable supports a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet
connection.
1. Install one end of a category 5 Ethernet cable into the network port of
the RMC. Ensure the other end is connected to an active network
port.
2. On the autoloader's back panel, verify that the link LED on the RMC
is green. This LED is labeled
3. Ensure the network port is active by checking with your system
administrator.

5. If you would like to use DHCP/BOOTP to configure your remote
management card, select
