7.1 Understanding Cluster Settings

IMPORTANT: You must perform all Cluster Services configuration operations on the master node
in the cluster. In iManager, select the Cluster object, not the Cluster Node objects.

Cluster IP address

on one or more nodes in a cluster, you can configure the

Specifies the IP address for the cluster.
You specify the IP address when you install Novell Cluster Services on the
first node of the cluster. Rarely, you might need to modify this value.
Specifies the port used for cluster communication.
The default cluster port number is 7023, and is automatically assigned when
the cluster is created. You might need to modify this value if there is a port
conflict.
