The Paint Presets palette displays thumbnails of imported textures.
When a texture preset is selected in the Paint Presets palette, several option for controlling the size and orientation
of the texture appear in the Texture tab of the Inspector palette. These settings will be covered in Chapter 12,
"Manipulating Textures."

Although colors can be applied to the sky, you cannot apply a texture to the sky background.

Tutorial: Adding Textures to an Object

Textures can add a richer, more realistic look to objects. To apply textures to an object, follow these steps:
1 Locate the Help\Tutorials\Fountain folder under the directory where Atmosphere was installed. It should be a path
similar to c:\Program Files\Adobe\Atmosphere\Help\Tutorials\Fountain. After navigating to your folder in the open
dialog, select the fi le fountain.atmo and press Open.
2 Select Window > Paint Presets to open the Paint Presets palette.
3 In the palette menu, select the Add Texture Preset menu command. Locate the same folder as step 1, select all
texture fi les, and click the Open button.
4 Select View > Player View (F4) to open the Appearance Editor's Player view. Then select the View > Fit All
(Ctrl+0) menu command to fi t all scene objects in the Player view window.
5 Click on the Apply Texture Tool (K) in the Texture Tools toolbar, select one of the texture presets and click on an
object in the Player view to apply the texture. Repeat this step until all object have textures applied.
