CHAPTER 14
The New Script Property dialog box lets you defi ne custom properties.
The number types include Number, String, Boolean, Vector, Color, Object, Action and Rotation. You can learn about
each of these number types in Appendix D, "JavaScript API Documentation." You can also select options that allow
the value to be referenced, modifi ed and whether it is an array or not.
Selected properties can be deleted using the Delete Selected Script Property icon button, also located at the bottom of
the Inspector palette.

Associating a Script with an Object

Scripts that affect objects, unlike scene scripts, must be associated with the object in order to work properly.
Atmosphere uses the whip tool to make it easy to associate a script with an object.
Using the Whip Tool
Selecting a target object is accomplished using the Script whip tool located in the Inspector palette to the right of the
Properties Name and Value fi elds. If you click and drag from the whip button to a scene object in the Scene Editor, a
line appears. As you mouse over Scene Objects a highlight box will appear. Release the mouse when the proper object
is highlighted. The Scene Object will be loaded as the script's target object.
