As discussed in Chapter 3, the SA7150 parses XML content, searches
it for user-configured patterns and distributes XML traffic to various
servers according to user-established rules embodied in XML
patterns reflecting the user's business needs.
This scenario illustrates steps in a hypothetical situation in which
you:
Expect to receive purchase orders from three companies

Want to categorize these purchase orders according to dollar
•
amount of order, method of payment and client's zip code
Want to send these different dollar amount categories to separate
•
servers for processing
The illustration below shows the network diagram for Scenario 1.
Though the illustration shows only three servers, the principles
demonstrated here could be applied to up to 1000 servers.

Note that Servers 1 and 3 use clear text maps, suitable when the
anticipated XML traffic is known to be unencrypted. Server 2 uses a
normal map (i.e., one specifying a Key ID) to enable SSL encryption
and decryption for XML data.
