Cable Connections

Figure 2-3 shows the external connectors for the system. Where appropriate, secure cables
by tightening the cable holding screws.
Table 2-1 describes the I/O connectors on the rear of the system. For pin assignments, see
Appendix A.

Function
Connects to a PS/2-style mouse, or a 101-key, external PS/2-style
keyboard.
Connects to a 25-pin parallel device.
Provides a 75-pin connector to attach the optional NEC Docking
Station 6000, NEC Versa MiniDock 6000 or PortBar 6000.
Provides a 4 pin connector to attach to a USB device.
Connects to a 15-pin external CRT.
Provides a 9 pin connector to attach to a RS-232C device.
