Removing the System Board — Desktop
Use this procedure to remove the system board from a
desktop system.
1. Remove the system unit cover (see "Removing the Small
Desktop or Desktop Cover").
2. Remove the screws that secure the left side bracket to the
chassis (see the following figure).

3. Free the back edge of the bracket from the chassis.
4. Unhook the bracket tabs from the chassis. Set the bracket
aside (see the following figure).
5. Pull the system board latches away from the system unit
(see the following figure). This releases the system board
and slides it partway out of the system.
