Glove Compartment - APRILIA SCARABEO 100 - 1999 Manual

To unlock and lift the saddle:
N
Position the vehicle on the centre stand
on firm and level ground.
N
Insert the key in the saddle lock (1).
N
Turn the key clockwise and raise the
saddle (2).
NOTE
Before lowering and locking the
saddle, make sure that you have not left
the key under the saddle.
N
To lock the saddle, lower it and press it
on its centre, making the lock snap shut.
WARNING
Before leaving, make sure that the sad-
dle is properly locked.
To open the glove compartment, proceed
as follows:
N
Position the vehicle on the centre stand
on firm and level ground.
N
Introduce the ignition key in the lock (3)
and rotate it clockwise.
To lock the compartment:
N
Introduce the ignition key, rotate it clock-
wise and push it at the same time, then
rotate the key in the opposite direction to
lock the compartment.
N
Remove the key and make sure that the
compartment is locked.
WARNING
Do not load the glove compartment ex-
cessively.
Maximum allowed weight: 1.5 kg.
The anti-theft hook (4) is positioned on the
right side of the vehicle.
To prevent the vehicle from being stolen, it
is advisable to secure it with the aprilia
"Body-Guard" armored cable
able at any aprilia Official Dealer.
WARNING
Do not use the hook to lift the vehicle or
for any purpose other than securing the
vehicle once it has been parked.
