Remove the footboard mat (1).

Unscrew and remove the two screws
(2).

Unscrew and remove the three
screws (3).
CAUTION
Proceed with care.
Do not damage the tangs and/or the rel-
evant seats.

Slightly raise the rear part of the foot-
board (4) and withdraw it from the base
of the inner shield.

CAUTION
Do not force the lower shield, since it is
fixed to the frame by means of two front
screws only.
NOTE
Upon reassembly, introduce first
the central tangs and then the side tangs.
Before introducing the three screws (3),
make sure that the hole on the footboard
and the screw seat are aligned.

Remove the fuse-carrier block (6) and
the start relay block (7) from the battery
box (5).
CAUTION
Handle the plastic and painted compo-
nents with care and avoid scraping or
damaging them.

Unscrew and remove the two nuts (8).
CAUTION
Proceed with care. To avoid danger-
ous leakages of battery fluid, do not in-
cline the battery box excessively.

Extract the battery box (together with the
battery) and put it on the footboard.
