Deactivating a Statement or Identifier
You can deactivate a statement or identifier so that it does not take effect when
you enter the
command. Any deactivated statements and identifiers are
commit
marked with the
inactive:
To deactivate a statement or identifier, use the
deactivate ( statement | identifier )
To reactivate a statement or identifier, use the
reactivate ( statement | identifier )
Reactivate removes the
inactive:
effect when you commit the configuration.
In both commands,
statement
The following example shows how to deactivate interface
the
hierarchy level:

[edit interfaces]
user@host# deactivate fe-0/0/0
tag and remain in the configuration.
