7.1.6

Power Cables

Suitable cables shall be used to supply the inverter. At least two cables per phase must be used (e.g. 2x 180 mm
the input terminals can hold up to 4 cables per phase (see § 7.1.5)). Their cross-sectional area shall be chosen
according to the rated input current of the inverter (see Tab. 2) and according to the installation conditions (cable
length, layout, temperature of the environment...).
A protective earthing (PE) conductor shall be connected at all times when power is supplied to the inverter. Unless
local wiring regulations state otherwise, the PE conductor cross-sectional area shall be at least equal to half the
cross-sectional area of the phase conductors (total per phase), providing that the PE and the phase conductors
are made of the same material, or by calculation according to 543.1 of IEC 60364-5-54.

7.2 Grounding Systems

When the power comes from an isolated grid source (IT network) or from a grounded delta, make sure
that the ground connections of the filter cards (DAE_FLT004 and DAE_FLT005) have been correctly
removed (Fig. 10); if they haven't, cut the cable ties and disconnect the two cables from the cards and from
the metal structure as shown in Fig. 11.
