9.2 VFD Protections – VFDNav service software required
The VFD includes the following protections:
VFD Current Overload
VFD Over Current with solid state short circuit protection
VFD Heatsink High Temperature
Under Voltage
Over Voltage
Motor High Temperature: VFD measure PTC on motor and pass value to control system and this define
the limit
Safe Torque Off
9.3 VFD Overload/Over Current - VFDNav service software required
VFD output current is constantly measured in all three phases. Different thresholds are integrated into the
inverter, that lead to different alarm conditions.
Extremely high currents may cause a hardware fault to the power board. In this case an A3 alarm will be
generated.
