Step 6: Modem Board

STEP 7: Battery Test

7 The battery will have to be fully charged
for the following test. A battery will re-
quire at least 8 hours of charging (longer
if the computer is being used during
charging) to become fully charged. Has
the battery been fully charged? 7b Ta
7a Install the battery in the computer. Plug
the AC adapter into the computer and
then into the power outlet. The computer
should be left OFF to obtain minimum
charging time. Let the battery charge for
at least 8 hours. Return to step 7. — —
7b Remove the battery from the computer.
Using a DVM or VOM, measure the volt-
age across the two terminals. Is the volt-
age greater than 12 VDC? 7c 7d
