Special Function Keys
Figure 3-7 illustrates the special function keys.
The function keys Fl through F10 make up the row above the icons.
They are used for special purposes by some programs. The computer
uses these keys to perform tasks such as changing the active calendar
date, moving the Time Zone display, and calling the Setup menu. The
meanings appear over the keys on the bottom line of the display.
NOTE: The right shift key is used to obtain the upper function of the
following keys.
The HOME/<-, END/—>, PGUP/| t , PGDN/ | keys are for cursor control.
These keys are used to control cursor movement and screen presentation
by some programs.
The INSERT/DELETE key is used in applications which require insertion
and deletion operations.
The SCROLL LOCK/NUM LOCK key is used to control screen scrolling
or activate the calculator keypad, the block of keys labled with blue num-
bers.
