    Image Persistence Image Persistence, also called Image Retention, is a condition that occurs when a previously displayed image leaves a residual or “ghost” impression on the screen. This happens when a single still image is shown for an extended time or when an image tremors or flashes at high speed.

  • Page 21 Turning Power On/Off nOperations after first power-on Initial Setting of USB FUNCTIONALITY USB Hub/Type-C function/[USB LAN] in OSD menu are disabled as the default condition set at the factory and in the product’s firmware; performing a FACTORY PRESET returns the function to its default disabled condition for reduced power consumption. When turning on the monitor for the first time or after FACTORY PRESET, the USB FUNCTIONALITY message is shown.

  • Page 24 Menu Items ECO TOOLS ECO TOOLS Menu BRIGHTNESS Adjusts the overall image and background screen brightness. If [ECO MODE] is set to [1] or [2], a bar for [CARBON FOOTPRINT] will appear. CONTRAST Adjusts the overall image and background screen brightness by input signal level. TIP: This function is disabled when [L/B] is selected in the Color Control System.
  • Page 25 Menu Items ECO TOOLS Menu HUMAN SENSING The sensor detects the movement of a person by using the [HUMAN SENSING] function. The [HUMAN SENSING] function has three settings. TIP: Detects a person within about 1.5 m from the monitor. Does not function. 1 (LIGHT) After it detects that there is no person during a period of time, the monitor shifts to low brightness mode automatically to reduce the power consumption.

VIDEO DETECT Selects the method of video detection. FIRST When the current video input signal is not present, the monitor searches for a video signal from the other video input ports.
  • Page 28 Menu Items TOOLS Menu USB FUNCTIONALITY Selects how power through the USB Type-A port and USB Type-C port, input signal from USB Type-C, and external communication of USB are enabled in relation to the monitor’s power status. TIP: • Actual power consumption depends on the connected USB device even when the monitor’s power is off.

    Using the DP OUT MULTISTREAM function You can daisy-chain monitors to each other using the DisplayPort input terminal and DisplayPort output terminal connections on the monitors.     Using the AUTO BRIGHTNESS function The brightness of the LCD screen can be set to increase or decrease depending on the amount of ambient lighting within the room. If the room is bright, the monitor becomes correspondingly bright. If the room is dim, then the monitor will dim accordingly. The purpose of this function is to make the viewing experience more comfortable to the eye in a variety of lighting conditions.
