Neutral Switch; Brake Light Switch; Clutch Switch - Honda VT600C 1988 Manual

LIGHTS/METER/SWITCHES
NEUTRAL SWITCH
INSPECTION
Remove thè left side covef and disconnect thè 2P (Black) con-
nector.
Check thè neutral switch (or continuity between thè light
green/red connector and body ground.
There shouid be continuity between thè light green/red con
nector and body ground.
There shouid be continuity with thè transmission in neutral and
no continuity with thè transmission in any gear.
If there is no continuity in neutral, remove thè drive sprocket
cover (page 13-14) and check thè wire connection for an open
Circuit.
BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
FRONT INSPECTION
Disconnect thè front brake light switch connectors and check
for continuity between thè switch terminals.
There shouid be continuity with thè front brake applied, and no
continuity with thè brake released.
Replace thè switch if necessary.
MI REAR BRAKE SWITCH?
REAR INSPECTION
Disconnect thè reai brake light switch connector and check for
continuity between thè terminals.
There shouid be continuity with thè rear brake applied and no
continuity with thè rear brake released.
Replace thè rear brake light switch, if necessary.
CLUTCH SWITCH
INSPECTION
Disconnect thè clutch switch wire connectors.
Check for continuity between thè switch terminals.
There shouid be continuity with thè clutch applied and no con
tlnuity with thè clutch released.
Replace thè clutch switch if necessary.
