MAINTEIMAIMCE
Check thè side stand ignition cut-off System:
— Sit astride thè motorcycle and raise thè side stand.
— Start thè ergine with thè transmission in neutral, then shift
thè transmission imo gear, with thè clutch lever squeezed.
— Move thè side stand full down.
— The engine shouid stop as thè side stand is lowered.
If there is a problem with thè System, check thè side stand
switch (section 16).
SUSPENSION
FRONT
Check thè suspension action by compressing it several times.
Check thè entire fork leg assembly for signs of leaks or dam-
age.
Replace any componente which are unrepairable.
Tighten all nuts and boits to thè specified torque value.
Awahninq
Do noi ride a vehicle wìih faulty suspension. t.oose, worn, or
damaged suspension parts may affecr stabiiity and rider con-
troi.
REAR
Check thè action of thè rear suspension components by com
pressing them several times.
Check thè entire suspension assembly, being sure it is securely
mounted and not damaged or distored.
Tighten all nuts and boits to thè specified torque value.
NUTS, BOLTS, FASTENERS
Tighten thè boits, nuts and fasteners at thè intervais shown in
thè Maintenance Schedule {page 3-3).
Check that all chassis nuts and boits are tightened to thei
rect torque values (page 1-5, 6 and 7|.
Check all cotter pins and safety clips.
