Program Panel (for use with Ethernet enabled Potter panels)
Make the following programming settings in your Potter panel:
1. Users: Add a User Code. This will be required when configuring IntelliCom. Insert a user code and ONLY select
PC Connect Unsupervised Multi User
2. LAN Settings: A fixed IP address is recommended on the fire panel. Work with IT to determine best strategy. This
IP address will be entered in www.potterintellicom.com
3.
IP Reporting: Select Add IntelliCom. Choose reporting options, enter Account ID (if necessary), and Configuration
Backup Password. The password is optional and used to password protect your panel databases that are backed up
to IntelliView.
4. Dialer: Do not configure the panel for a dialer when using IntelliCom
Note: The Potter fire alarm control panel is designed to support one IntelliCom communicator.
Register an IntelliCom Gateway Subscriber
Follow this process to add an IntelliCom to a compatible Potter fire alarm control panel:
1. Go to https://www.potterintellicom.com.
2. Click on Register Subscriber
3. Enter the serial number from the IntelliCom: The label containing the serial number can be found on the inner
bottom of the enclosure and should begin with either 1E1 or 1E2. If the serial number does not start with 1E1 or
1E2 then it will not register.
4. Select Validate
5. Subscriber Information
•
Enter the subscriber information.
•
Select Next Step
6. Templates
•
Choose - Dual Path LAN Primary Cell Backup or Sole Path Default
7. Device Mode of Operation
•
Alarm Format: CID is the only format supported for Potter panels connected over Ethernet.
•
Device Mode of Operation: Cell Only or Cell w/ LAN
Selecting Cellular Only mode may require enabling other features to remain in UL compliance.
NOTE: When an alternate communications pathway is connected to another alarm panel DACT interface
(usually a Telco connection), IntelliCom can be used as either a Primary or Secondary Path. In such cases, panel
settings determine whether the DACT connected to IntelliCom or the DACT connected to the alternate pathway
will be used. Potter panels using the ethernet connection do not support this feature.
8. Self-Test Frequency
•
Choose: Never, 6-hour, Daily, Weekly and Monthly
•
Choose: Day or Night setting when in dual path mode
•
Enter the pass & fail codes when in dual path mode
9. Device Configuration
IntelliCom provides the host alarm panel with two supervisory trip outputs for reporting an IntelliCom system
trouble code to the Central Station. The supervisory trip outputs are programmable to suit various installation
requirements. The programming options for these supervisory trip outputs can be any combination of the
following:
•
ACFC/LPF: Trips 2 hours (programmable for up to 24 hours) after low power failure is detected.
INTELLICOM • 5403797 • REV A • 8/23
