Windows Driver Installation
1. Overview
The ICDM-RX/TCP (DeviceMaster) and ICRPC (RocketPort EXPRESS) Windows Driver Console manual
provides support for the following products:
•
ICRPC (RocketPort EXPRESS), including the RocketPort INFINITY, which is referred to as RocketPort in
the manual.
•
DeviceMaster (ICDM-RX/TCP), which is referred to as DeviceMaster in the manual.
Install the DeviceMaster NS-Link device driver to use the DeviceMaster serial ports as native COM ports
and to set up secure COM ports. If you install the device driver, you can also configure the ports for socket
mode or serial tunneling. See NS-Link Device Driver Configuration Considerations on Page 29 for detailed
information about the NS-Link device driver.
Refer to PortVision DX Overview - DeviceMaster on Page 7 for information about an application to assist
configuring network settings.
1.1. Windows Driver Management Console
This manual discusses how to install and configure Pepperl+Fuchs Windows device drivers using the Windows
Driver Management Console.
The driver installation is accessible through a dedicated shortcut created during the initial device driver
installation process. The Windows Driver Management Console allows you to browse all installed and
supported Pepperl+Fuchs products in one place and apply any changes quickly.
You can refer to Using the Windows Driver Management Console on Page 30 for general information.
1.2. Supported Operating Systems
The Windows Driver Management Console supports the following operating systems:

Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11
•
Windows Server 2012R2, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server 2022
