A stored-program controller (SPC) is
integrated in each of these "Twin inter-
faces". The SPC carries out the logical
gating of the signals. In this way, both
power sources are addressed simulta-
neously by one signal from the robot
control. For two power sources, only
one such "Twin interface" is needed.
The "Twin interface" is installed in the
control cubicle.
The connections to the power sources
are via LocalNet.
When standard robot interfaces are
used, logical gating of the signals must
be performed by the robot control. For
two power sources, two identical robot
interfaces are needed. The two stan-
dard robot Interfaces are installed in
the control cubicle. The connection
between "Robot interface 1"
and "Power source 1", and bet-
ween "Robot interface 2" and "Power
source 2", is via LocalNet.
