Proceed as follows:
Turn handwheel until the needles are in their upmost
position. Pull up handle (A, Fig. 15) and swing out
cylinder cover (B).
Turn out the two screws (C, Fig. 15).
Lift the presser foot and remove the throat plate sup-
port with throat plate.
Clean the inside of the cylinder arm, the feed dogs
and. the throat plate support with throat plate from
lint.
Remount throat plate support with throat plate, swing
up and lock cylinder cover.
_NOTE: Excess lint iri the cylinder arm may cause ·skipped
sti:tches! · ·
For cleaning in the area of the take-up remove the
cloth

. . ; Flip-up cast-off plate (A, Fig. 16), as
~for
threSrilng and screw out stop screw (B) until the
cast-off plate has fully swung up and rests on the
bed casting.
After cleaning push the caSt-off plate back to its
home position, screw in the stop screw and remount
the cloth plate.
From time tc time the cooling ribs of the bottom cover
have to cleaned and the fan blades of the pulley have
to be blown out with compressed air. For this remove
belt guard {A, Fig. 17) and air duct (B).

Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Drehen Sie am Handrad bis die Nadeln in der hOchsten Stel-
lung sind .. Ziehen Sie den Griff (A, Fig. 15) nach oben und
schwenken Sie den Zylinderdeckel (8) aus.
Orehen Sie die beiden Schrauben (C, Fig. 15) heraus.
Liften Sie den OrUckerfuB und entfernen Sie den Stich-
plattentrager mit Stichplatte.
Reinigen Sie den Zylinderarm-Innenraum, Transporteure und
Stichplattentrager mit Stichplatte van Flusen.
Montieren Sie den Stichplattentrager mit Stichplatte wieder.
Schwenken Sie den Zylinderdeckel nach oben unci verriegeln
Sie ihn.
BEACHTEN. SIE: Zuviel Flusen im Zyliridetarm k'6nn.en Fehlstiche.

Bereich des Fadenaufnehmers muB die Stoff-
platte entfernt warden. Schwenken Sie die Fadenaufnehmer-
platte (A, Fig. 16), wie zum Einf8deln, nach oben und drehen
Sie
die
Anschlagschraube (8) soweit heraus, daB die Faden-
aufnehmerplatte ganz nach oben ausgeschwenkt am Geh8useguB
anliegt.
DriJcken Sie nach dem Reinigen die Fadenaufnehmerplatte in
ihre Ausgangss"tellung zurUck, drehen Sie die Anschlag-
schraube wieder ein und montieren Sie die
Stoffp~atte.
Van Zeit zu Zeit mUssen die KUhlrippen an der Grundplatte
gereinigt und die liifterflUgel am Handrad mit Pressluft
ausgeblasen warden. Oazu muB der Riemenschutz (A, Fig. 17)
und das Luftleitblech (B) entfernt werden.
