Dismount motor belt g!..!<:rd. Place the V-belt
round the motor pullej and slue the motor to
tense the belt. The tension on the V-belt is
correct, when with J",£d'erate finger pressure,
it will deflect approx. 10 mm {3/8 in.), mid-
way between pulley

the sewing machine and
motor pulley (see Fig. 2).
Remount motor belt guerd.

Mount the guard ring on the synchronizer of
the po'sitioning motor. Place the through holes
so that the screws in the synchronizer are
accessible for fastening it on the flange of
the machine pulley.
The guard ring prevents from putting the fin-
gers into the pulley.

Insert the synchronizer on the flange of the
machine pulley so that it is secured against
turning by the stop on the belt guard. Fasten
the set screws with the hexagon socket head
wrench furnished with the accessories of the
sewing machine.
Lead the plug with cable through the table
board and insert it on the motor (see instruc-
tion of the motor supplier and Figs. 3,
4
and
5.

Fill the machine with oil. Observe paragraph
"LUBRICATION"!
9.1 Assemble the thread stand.
9. 2 On styles 34700 K8W and KPBW assemble the ad-
justable tension roller 9evice and the knee
press lever to the table board. See exploded
view drawings in catalog.

Switch-on the machine and check the direction
of rotation of the motor. -The pulley must turn
.clockwise, vieWed from the right.
Electronic positioning motor:
In case the direction of rotation has to be
changed, it has to be done by an electrician.
Electronic DC positioning-motor:
In case the direction of rotation has to be
changed,
program the direction of rotation
according to the instructions of the motor
supplier.

Now adjust the stopping positions {needle down
and needle up). Also refer to the instructions
of the motor supplier.
Electronic positioning motor:
Remove the synchronizer cover.
Shortly press the motor treadle to the front,
the machine stops in the first position.
Hold the left control disc of the synchronizer
and turn the machine pulley in operating direc-
tion until the needles are in the extreme down
positio~.
Repeat. the procedure by shortiy -pressing the
motor treadle .to the . front, The machine must·.
stop- in needle dOwn position. Reeidjust if re:..
qui red.
Heel the motor treadle, the machine stops in
the second position.
Hold the right control disc of the synchronizer
and turn the machine pulley in operating direc-
tion until the needles are in the extreme up
position.
Repeat the procedure by shortly pressing to the
front and heeling the motor treadle. The ma-
chine must stop in needle up position. Re-
adjust if required.
Remount the synchronizer cover.
Electronic DC positioning motor:
Program the stopping positions needle down and
needle up according to the instructions of the
motor supplier.
Switch-off the machine.

Bauen Sie den Motor-Riemenschutz ab. Legen Sie den
Keilriemsr. urn die Motorriemenscheibe und schwenken
Sie den l"otor urn den Riemen zu spannen. Der Keil-
riemen is"t richtig gespannt, wenn er in der Mitt9
zwischen r.andrad und MotorriemenscheibEi mit mi:iBigem
Fingerdruck etwa 10mrn eingedrUckt werden kann (siehe
Fig. 2).
Bauen Sie den Motorriemenschutz wieder ao.

Montieren Sie den Schutzring auf den Positionsgeber
des Stopr..ctors. Plazieren Sie -die Durchgangsbohrungen
so, daB die Schi'auben im Positionsgeber zum Befes-
tigen auf dem Flansch der
Handrad-Rieme~scheibe
zu-
gi:inglich sind.
Der Schutzring verhindert, daB in die Handrad-Riemen-
scheibe gegriffen werden kann.

Stecken Sie den Positionsgeber so auf den Flansch
der Handrad-Riemenscheibe, daB er durch den ·Anschlag
am Riemenschutz gegen verdrehen gesichert iSt und
ziehen Sie die Schrauben mit dem im N8hmaschinenzu-
beh6r gelieferten SechskantstiftschlOssel.fest.

den Stecker mit ZUleitung durch die Ni:ih-
tischplatte und stecken Sie ihn am Motor ein {siehe
Betriebsanleitung des Motorherstellers und Fig. 3,

und 5.
Achtung! Steck.en Sie den 10 poligen Stacker des Faden-
abschneider-Antriebs jetzt noch nicht am Motor ein!

FUllen Sie 01 in die Maschine. Beachteri Sie den Ab-
schnitt •OLEN"!
9.1 Montieren Sie den Fadenst8nder.
9. 2 Montieren Sie bei den Maschinen 34700 KBW und KPBW
· die einstellbare. Spannrolleneinrichtung und den Knie-
hebel an die Ni:ihtischplatte. Siehe Explosionszeich-
nungen im Katalog.

Schalten Sie die Maschine ein und prlifen Sie die
Orehrichtu.ng des Motors·, Die Riemenscheibe muB . sich,
van rechts gesehen, im Uhrzeigersinn
drehe~.

Elektronik~Stoprnator:
Ist eine Anderung der_ Drehrichtung erforderlich,

muB
dies van einem Elektriker durchgefOhrt werden.

Gleichstram-Elektronik-Stopmotor:
Ist eine-· Anderung der ·orehrichtung edorderlich, Pro-
grammieren Sie die Orehrichtung entsprechend der Be-
triebsanleitung des Motorherstellers.

Stellen Sie nun die Haltepositionen (Nadeltief und
Nadelhoch)
ein.
Siehe auch Betriebsanleitung des
Motorherstellers.
Elektronik-Stopmotor:
Nehmen Sie die Positionsgeberhaube ab.
Treten Sie das Motorpedal kurz nach vorne, die M?-
schine hi:ilt in der 1. Position.
Halten Sie die linke Steuerscheibe des Positions-
gebers fest und drehen Sie die Handrad-Aiemenscheibe
in Ni:ihrichtung bis die Nadeln in ihrer untersten
Stellung sind.

Wied_erholen · Sie den Vor"gang di.Jrch kurzes nach -vorne
treten des-_Motorpedals.· Die Maschine II)UB in Nadel-
tiefstellung :halten. ·stellen Sie bei Bedarf nach.
Treten Sie das Motorpedal zurUck, die Maschine hi:ilt
in der 2. Position.
Halten Sie die rechte Steuerscheibe des Positions-
gebers fest und drehen Sie die Handrad-Riemenscheibe
in Ni:ihrichtung bis die Nadeln in ihrer obersten
Stellung sind.
Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang durch kurzes nach vorne
treten und zurUcktreten des Motorpedals. Die Maschine
muB in Nadelhochstellung halten. Stellen Sie bei Be-
darf nach.
Montieren Sie die Positionsgeberhaube wieder.
Gleichstrom-Elektronik-Stopmotor:
Programmieren Sie die Haltepositionen Nadeltief und
Nadelhoch
entsprechend
der
Betriebsanleitung
des
Motorherstellers.
Schalten Sie die Maschine aus.
