Problem
The display is too
dark or too light.
The grade is shown
in percent (%) or per
mil (‰).
The grade resets to
zero each time the
laser is turned on.
The laser stops too
often to re-level.
The screen of the
Combo freezes or
behaves unusually.
Unable to enter a
grade value above a
certain number.

The setting of the
display contrast is
unsuitable.
The wrong setting
has been selected.
The wrong setting
has been selected.
The sensitivity set-
ting may be set to
the "fine" setting
(Setting 1).
The Tripod may be
unstable.
The wind is causing
the Rugby to move
too much.
Software malfunction
or strong interfer-
ence from external
power sources.
The feature pack-
age installed on the
Rugby has limited
grade capabilities. It
is not possible to
enter grade values
greater than 10%
in one axis, when
the other axis has
a value greater than
3%.
Suggested solutions
The contrast for the Combo
can be reset in the menu.

4.3.3 Menu Set
Screen
contrast.
The Rugby laser has been
configured to show percent
(%) or per mil (‰) grade
values. This can be changed
on the grade entry menu
screen. Refer to
4.3.4 Grade
Entry-Display - Percent/Per
Mil.
The Rugby laser has been
configured to reset grade
values when turned off or
put to sleep. This can be
changed on the grade entry
menu screen. Refer to
grade.
The vibration/wind sensitivity
can be modified in the menu.
Refer to
4.3.2 Menu Set
Sensitivity.
Check your tripod for stabil-
ity. Tighten all screws. Use
sand bags on the legs if
necessary.
Shelter the Rugby from the
wind. Press the tripod legs
more firmly into the ground.
Try to power the Combo off
and on again. If this does
not resolve the issue, press
the Power/ESC button of the
Combo for 10 seconds.
It may be possible to
upgrade the functionality
package on your Rugby. Con-
tact your dealer/supplier for
further information.
Depending on the function-
ality package installed, the
Rugby allows for up to 10%
grade entry in both axes
simultaneously. If the grade
entry for one axis is greater
than 10%, the cross axis is
limited to 3%.
