Using the unit
INFO
If the SSID identification name of a Wi-Fi network cannot be displayed to the user, enter the network name in
the Custom SSID field.

12.4. Connecting to the inverter remotely

To connect to the inverter remotely, it must be connected to the Internet through a Wi-Fi network or Ethernet. Once
connected to the Internet, follow the steps below:
1.
Access INGECON SUN Monitor.
2.
Create a plant with the inverter'sDevice ID and Password. This information appears on the sticker on the
inverter.
3.
Access the plant to see the installation monitoring. You can also access the unit's web application.
INFO
Keep in mind the following requirements:
The inverter must be connected to a local network with an Internet output in ports UDP80 (or
UDP1194) and TCP8883.
The device that the remote connection is established from must have an Internet output in ports
TCP80, TCP22 and TCP9001.
By default the routers have the necessary ports for remote communication open. Otherwise, request the network
administrator to open these ports.
Ensure that the default gateway and network mask are correct, as the inverter will not have Internet access
otherwise. By default the inverter operates by DHCP and these parameters do not need to be set up in a network
with a DCHP server.
If the inverter is to be configured with a static IP, check the network setting properties of a computer or other
device in the same network, or request it from the network administrator.

12.5. Changing the IP settings of a Wi-Fi network

When it connects to an existing Wi-Fi network the inverter will obtain its IP address dynamically (DHCP). If it
connects to a network without DHCP server or if you wish to set up the inverter with a static IP address, follow
these steps:
1.
Open the web application from the device's browser.
2.
Open Comms in the top menu.
3.
Select Wi-Fi in the left panel.
4.
Click on the option Change in the Primary field.
5.
In the IP Mode field, select the Fixed or DHCP option.
6.
If you have selected Fixed, complete the required data (IP address, IP mask and IP gateway).
INFO
To verify that the gateway and network mask are correct, access the network settings properties of a device that
is on the same network or request it from the network administrator.
7.
Finally click on Send.
A window will appear with the data of the new IP address setup.

12.6. Changing the IP settings of an Ethernet network

When it connects to an existing Ethernet network the inverter will obtain its IP address dynamically (DHCP). If
it connects to a network without DHCP server or if you wish to set up the inverter with a static IP address, follow
these steps:
