Touchpad / Touchscreen
The pointer does not work.

Cannot input using the touchpad.

Insert the Smart Card correctly.

To use a Smart Card, you need a specified software and driver.

Confirm that the barcode is readable (without damage, etc.). Confirm that the barcode (sym-

bology) is readable.
Confirm the area for reading. The distance from the reader to the barcode is important. As a
l
rule of thumb, a farther distance should be used for a larger symbol to allow the light to cover the
symbol. In addition, a closer distance should be used for a thinner symbol.
Be sure the barcode is not placed closer than necessary to the reader.

Confirm the assignment of [Barcode Reader Trigger] with the Setup Utility, and change the set-
l
ting if it is not assigned. (
When switching to a different user without signing out, some applications do not work properly.
l
In this case, sign out the other users.

Open Task Manager and close the software application.

If Windows runs correctly, but the application software does not start, uninstall the failing applic-

ation software, then reinstall it.
To uninstall, perform the procedure below.

2. Select the program you want to uninstall, and click [Uninstall].
