During Simultaneous display, one of the
screens becomes disordered.
The external display does not work nor-
mally.
The screen does not become bright.
There are red, green, or blue dots on the
screen, or there is unevenness in colors
and brightness on the screen.
Image persistence is occurred.
Sound
No sound.
Distorted sound.
Cannot change the volume by pressing
≪ Fn≫ + ≪ F5≫ , ≪ Fn≫ + ≪ F6≫ or
tablet buttons.
The microphone volume is small/large.
Cannot record with microphone.
When signing in (e.g., resuming the com-
puter), audio is distorted.
When using the Extended Desktop, use the same display colors for the external display as those
l
used by the LCD. If you continue to experience problems, try changing the display.
If the external display does not support the power saving function, it may not work normally
l
when the computer enters the power saving mode. Turn off the external display.
Simultaneous display cannot be used until Windows startup is complete (during Setup Utility,
l
etc.).
The brightness is set low to avoid malfunction where surrounding temperature is high. For

Although advanced high-precision technologies are used in the production of color LCD
l
screens, 0.002 % or less of the picture elements may be dark or remain constantly lit (i.e., more
than 99.998 % of elements function properly).
Due to the natural characteristics of LCD screens, you may notice unevenness in colors and
l
brightness depending on your angle of view. Hues may also vary by product.
When the same image is displayed on the screen for a long time, previous images may remain
l
faint even if you switch the image to the new one.
This phenomenon is called "image persistence".
You can suppress the image persistence by the following measures.
Use the screen saver.
l
1. Right-click the desktop, and then click [Personalize] - [Lock screen] - [Screen
saver settings].
2. Select any screen saver.
Set the time to turn off the display.
l

Press ≪ Fn≫ + ≪ F4≫ , ≪ Fn≫ + ≪ F6≫ or tablet buttons to cancel mute.
