5.1 Replacing the instrument

Operation
CAUTION!  Risk of burns! Insufficient cooling leads to overheating of
the preparation site and to damage to the tooth substance. Ensure that
the water content is ≥ 50 mL/min.
CAUTION!  Risk of burns! Always operate contra-angle handpieces
marked with a red dot with cooling spray!
CAUTION!  Risk of burns! Never pull the patient's cheek back with
the contra-angle handpiece while the motor is running! This would
actuate the push button, thus creating a risk of burning the patient's oral
mucosa.
CAUTION!  Risk of burns at push button! Press the push button only
when the instrument has come to a stop.
CAUTION!  Risk of burns! For use and operating data of the different
preparation tools, please refer to the manufacturer's specifications.

Replacing the instrument
NOTICE!  The instrument should be attached or removed only when the
motor is at standstill.
NOTICE!  Do not use instruments with light function on motors without
light function.
Attaching the instrument
ü The motor is at a standstill.
1. Insert the instrument until it snaps into place.
2. When using a motor with a light groove (A): turn the instrument until
the ISO slider clicks into place.
Removing the instrument
ü The motor is at a standstill.
➢ Detach the instrument. Do not pull on the supply hose.
