Preparation

4.1

Initial start-up and longer breaks in use

➢ Clean and sterilize the instrument and accessories prior to startup
[→ 18].
➢ Clean and maintain the instrument after longer breaks in use
[→ 15].
4.2

Prior to starting the work day

➢ CAUTION! Risk of contamination! Purge the water and air
channels for 30 seconds.
4.3

Before each patient

1. CAUTION! Purge the water and air channels for 30 seconds.
2. NOTICE! Stop the motor.
3. CAUTION! Do not attach the instrument until the motor has
stopped. [→ 12]
4. Insert the preparation tool [→ 13].
5. CAUTION! Set a sufficient amount of cooling water (> 50 mL/
min).
6. CAUTION! Use filtered water only (< 50 µm).
7. CAUTION! Check the nozzles for blockages and lime deposits,
for example, and clean the nozzles if necessary [→ 17].
8. Check the fiber optic surface and clean it if needed [→ 17].
