Inserting and removing preparation tools

CAUTION!  Risk of burns! Ensure that the push button is not jammed
and thus not pressed in during treatment.
CAUTION!  Risk of injury! Use only sharp, undamaged, ISO 1797-
compliant preparation tools with a metallic shaft.
CAUTION!  Risk of injury! A loose or partially removed preparation
instrument can detach itself from the head or break off. There is a risk of
injury! Use the instrument only if the preparation instrument is attached
at least 10 mm deep or up to the stop and is clamped securely in place.
CAUTION!  Risk of injury! Only use perfectly functioning preparation
tools that comply with the respective manufacturer's specifications. Also
observe the speed recommended by the manufacturer during
preparation.
Insert Friction Grip preparation instrument (FG)
ü The motor and preparation tool are at a standstill.
1. Press the push button and insert the preparation tool as far as it will
go.

CAUTION!  Risk of injury! Pull on the preparation instrument to
check that it is firmly in place.
Remove Friction Grip preparation tool (FG)
ü The motor and preparation instrument are at a standstill.
➢ Press the push button and remove the preparation instrument with
tweezers.
CAUTION!  Risk of injury! Press the push button chuck only when
the instrument is at a standstill.
Insert preparation tool (CA)
ü The motor is at a standstill.
1. Insert the preparation tool without pressing the push button.
2. Turn the preparation tool back and forth gently until it snaps into
place.
3.
CAUTION!  Risk of injury! Pull and turn the preparation tool to
check that it is firmly seated.
Remove preparation tool (CA)
ü The motor and preparation tool are at a standstill.
➢ Press the push button and remove the preparation tool.
