Care and maintenance
9.1
General notes
Switch off the device and remove the ignition key if nec-
essary before cleaning and servicing the device, re-
placing parts or changing to another function.
Remove the battery plug from machine.
9.2
Cowlings
WARNING
Risk of burns!
Allow the vehicle to cool down sufficiently before re-
moving the panels.
9.3
Battery
Information on handling the batteries and the charger
can be found in the chapter "Safety instructions"!
9.3.1
Procedures in the event of unintentional release of battery acid
If there is spillage or, if the battery is leaking, acid is es-
caping, lay down a binding agent such as sand. Do not
let it reach the sewer system, soil or a body of water.
Neutralise the acid with lime/baking soda and dispose
of it according to local regulations.
Contact a waste management company to dispose of
faulty batteries.
9.4
Maintenance intervals
Observe the inspection checklist!
The elapsed-time counter shows the timing of the mainte-
nance intervals.
9.4.1
Maintenance by the customer
Note: Where maintenance is carried out by the customer,
all service and maintenance work must be undertaken by
a qualified specialist. If required, a specialised Kärcher
dealer may be contacted at any time.

DANGER
Risk of personal injury or damage!
Consider the weight of the appliance when storing it.
Park the device on a level surface in a dry, frost protect-
ed area. Protect it against dust by means of covering
material.
Raise the brushes to prevent the bristles from being
damaged.
Empty and clean the fresh water tank, the waste water
tank and the waste container.
Turn the ignition key to "0" and remove the key.
Activate parking brake.
Lock the appliance to ensure that it does not roll off.
Pull out the battery plug.
If the vehicle is not used for a longer period of time,
observe the following points:
Clean the inside and outside of the vehicle.
Charge battery approx. every 2 months.
Regularly check the acid level in the battery. If neces-
sary, refill with distilled water.
Cover the battery and protect it from short circuit.
Maintenance work may only be carried out by approved
customer service outlets or experts in this field who are
familiar with the respective safety regulations.
For the performance of various maintenance tasks the
panels must be removed or opened, respectively.
A 13 mm wrench is required to open the screws (bayo-
net).
Please also be sure to observe the safety instructions of
the battery and charger manufacturer
Rinse thoroughly with lots of clear water if acid gets into
the eye or comes in contact with the skin.
Then consult a doctor immediately.
Wash off the acid If it comes in contact with the clothes.
Change clothing.
