Printing area

■ Maximum Printing Area
The maximum printing area of this machine is as fol-
lows:
In units of mm:
251 mm × 357 mm
(9 7/8 inches × 14 1/16 inches)
In units of inches:
210 mm × 349 mm
(8 9/32 inches × 13 3/4 inches)
■ Master making area
The master making area is determined according to
the paper size placed on the paper feed tray. The
master making area is an area that equals the paper
size excluding the margin shown in the illustration
below.

When creating originals, take above margins into con-
sideration.
The same master making area is applied when print-
ing by sending original data from a computer.
BThe master making area does not
exceed the maximum printing area even
when you set large paper.

BWhen printing an original with little margin
around the original, it is useful to reduce
the original by setting the magnification
rate

BIf print paper is sticking to the print drum
(cylinder), smudges are appearing 10 mm
(13/32 inches) from the top, etc., include a
margin 10 mm (13/32 inches) or larger at
the top.
Use one of the two methods below to do
so.
CMove the print position towards the bot-
tom with print position adjustment.
CExtend the margin on the original to
10 mm (13/32 inches) or more from the
top and remake the master.

BIf an original with almost the same size as
the maximum printing area is printed on
paper with a length longer than 410 mm
(16 5/32 inches), the latter printing area
may be smudged.

the laws or infringes on established copyrights, even
when making copies for personal use. Consult your
