Printing of original data

You can connect this printer with the computer using a
USB cable to print the original data.
A commercially available USB cable is required for
connection. Use a cable of 2 m (6.6 feet) or shorter
that conforms to the USB 2.0 standard.
BWhen connecting using a USB cable, be
sure that the power for this machine
and the computer is turned on.
BIf you use a USB hub, the machine may
not work properly.
BThe maximum allowable voltage for
USB connector input and output is 5V.

Software

The software included in the CD-ROM provided for
this machine is as follows:
■ RISO Printer Driver
This is a dedicated printer driver that enables printing
an original from a computer.
It is necessary to install the printer driver for the first
time before the initial printing run.
For more information, see the user's guide (PDF file)
included in the CD-ROM.

The following sizes and weights of originals are
usable:

• If ink or correction fluid is used on an original, thor-
oughly dry it before placement. Failure to do so may
contaminate the document feeder, and this impairs
proper printing.
■ Direction of original
The leading edge of an original in the feeding direction
is referred to as the "top".
